Apocalypse D&D

Post by tonydowler » April 29th, 2010, 2:20 pm

I'm going to run Apocalypse D&D (http://story-games.com/praxis/comments. ... 152&page=1), an Apocalypse World, AD&D mashup, at least once as a scheduled game, but I'll also have it on hand for pickup play throughout GPNW. It's basically old-school-inspired D&D, but with Apocalypse World style moves. I haven't picked a slot for the scheduled game yet (guess I should do that soon).

I REALLY want to play this. Are you going to have a stack of 2E splatbooks on hand or should I see if I can get mine shipped out?

Another PHB is always useful, although I've got two, so I'm not too worried. I'll also create a big stck of pre-gen characters and bring it.

Hmmm.... how retro would it be to get a copy of the old Rogue's Gallery supplement with all the pre-gen characters in it...

Rogue's Gallery _defines_ retro. Having now mentioned it, you cannot do otherwise but to do it.

I'm definitely into playing this, Tony.

It will be a nice to compare this with The Fantasy Trip dungeon crawl I'm planning on running:)

Sweet! I hope to get into that. I've never tried the Fantasy Trip.

I'd love to play this, too - put it on the schedule!

The Fantasy Trip is one of my favorite games of all time. I had no idea there was a living interest in this game in the S-G community or I'd have already prepped a session before now. Most of my gaming books are packed away right now in preparation for moving. Hmmm...

I'm in if there's room. Sounds cool.
