I have gotten into the habit of visiting Seattle 3-4 times a year, and have some spots that I am excited to hit up each and every time I visit. I figured I'd post the spots I'm excited about visiting, so that others also know what's what (and can, p'haps, plan to go to them with me).

1. Molly Moon's Ice Cream
Each and every scoop of ice cream I've ever had here has been amazing and life-changing. Last time I had a scoop of Mulled Wine Sorbet and another of Cardamom. I also sampled the Balsamic Strawberry. Oh, also: every employee is heartbreakingly gorgeous, and uniquely so.

2. Pike Street Fish Fry
Hipsters make the best fish and chips. Fact.

3. Thai Curry Simple
Located next to a light rail station (and also next to Ben Lehman's house, which is how I got into the habit of eating here), Thai Curry Simple offers amazing thai food for $5. The owners are super friendly, the restaurant is small but lovely, and I've never been disappointed by anything on the menu.

What are your must-visit spots?

If you're up for a drive XXX Burger in Issaquah (about a 45 minute drive) for burgers and root beer.

Serious Pie for pizza, it's a little expensive but well worth the price, also you can check it off your Best Things I Ever Ate list if you watch Food Network. (Give yourself about 30 extra minutes since it can sometimes take a while to get a table)

We're in Seattle center, right? Vivace may be walkable during a break: there's one across from REI, about half hour walk away, or ten minutes by (I think free) bus.

As for otherwise, I'm not sure ... don't spend a ton of time in that area.

I have too many favorites to list. Joe hit some of my biggies. Also, if people want a guide for Chinatown/Japantown, just ask: I know some great places around here, and would be happy to take people out for dinner / drinks in the neighborhood.

While we're on the topic, what are the great spots for beers near there?

For good local beer you can go to the Pyramid Brewery http://www.pyramidbrew.com/alehouses/seattle
Pretty much any non-chain bar in the area is likely to have a pretty broad selection of micro-brews, they're a big thing around here.
