Random Partner Games

I can't remember what we called it last year but we should totally do that thing where you just end up grouped with some random people and play a game together.

Because that shit was fun. Awkward, and then fun.

That would be The Lottery.

Yeah, we should definitely do it again. Fortune favors the bold.

I was about to make a smart-assed comment about what would happen to the person who drew the slip of paper with the black dot on it, but then I started thinking about it and realized how awesome a Shirley Jackson-esque RPG about tight-knit families with secrets and ever-creeping horror would be. I might have to give that some thought...

(Also, random games with random people sounds pretty fun.)

The Lottery is pretty awesome. We will definitely do it again this year! Ben's post is a good write up of it.

I really enjoyed it. Without the lottery, I would never have been able to pretend I was Mike Sugarbaker's gay lover. Then die.

Amusingly, I'm currently about half done a first draft of "In the Night, In the Dark: A Shirley Jackson-esque Story Game of Emotional Horror and the Supernatural".

My entire life is emotional horror and the supernatural. Can we play a game where I work at an ad agency instead?

(you don't know this about me but Chris / theG33k does - I work at an ad agency.)

I've never played the Roach but I feel like this might be especially fun.
