SAT-02 massive Mars Colony game

Post by Ben Robbins » May 19th, 2010, 6:14 am

"Mars Colony is dying, torn apart by environmental hazards, shoddy infrastructure, and social unrest. The Earth Coalition is keeping the Colony's failures a secret and has instead decide to hire an expert to turn the Colony around. You, Kelly Perkins, are that expert."

Mars Colony is a two-player game about society, politics, and (sometimes) compromising your beliefs to get things done. Forget that it's on Mars: you'll be picking entirely real world issues to tackle.

We'll explain the rules, split up into pairs, and see how many of us can save the Colony from itself.

Everybody's welcome. We can handle a whole mess of people, including last minute walk-ins, so long as we wind up with an even number at the end.

(Don't feel bad if you haven't heard of Mars Colony -- it isn't even being released until GenCon 2010. Here's a report of a previous session, and there's some more discussion in the brainstorming thread. In short, if you are interested in games about these kinds of issues, it rocks.)
