What to do in Seattle?

Hello! Sean and I will be staying an extra day in Seattle before heading up to Vancouver to visit friends. Any suggestions of what we should do for the Monday after GPNW? We spent a hot minute in the Piedmont neighborhood last year, and I'd love to go back and stroll there some more. We're not looking for anything super touristy, just interested in hearing people's favorite spots.
Thanks!

I'm a huge fan of downtown and the Pike Market. The big ferris wheel is fun too, if a tad pricey.

Similar question: what do you recommend for food? Either in the area around the con or just in general.

Cannon just up the road from Seattle University for whisky and fru-fru food.
Skillet a bit further up the road in Capital Hill proper for brunchy noms.
Brave Horse Tavern in South Lake Union might be my new favorite Seatrtle spot (I'm sorry, Skillet!) for an excellent beer list and great food.
Last time (2013), I wrote a blog post about my consumption:

Also, if anyone likes beer, Outer Planet in Capital Hill are consistently excellent. Elysian are also worth a look for their one-off brews.

There's loads of great food in Seattle, what do you like to eat and what price range are you trying to stay in?
(as a general vote I'll second Brave Horse, great place for a drop in).

Someone mentioned Pike's Place already, but I second that notion. It's one of the most iconic spots in Seattle (other than the Space Needle) with stuff to do. Plus there is just lots of food and things to do downtown. The EMP and the glass museum are pretty cool as well. In south Seattle is the Museum of Flight, which is one of the best in the nation I hear. You could walk around in Bellevue (east of Lake Washington) which is more trendy than downtown Seattle, but also more expensive.
For more touristy things (on the off chance you would want to do them), the Duck Tour or the Seattle Underground are pretty standard fare. If you are looking for something more nature oriented, there are dozens of trails in the area to hike (mostly to the east).

Hope that helps.

The EMP/Sci-Fi Museum currently has a Star Wars exhibit:

The best variety of food is on Capital Hill, which is just a short walk from where Go Play NW will be:
Cheap/fast food (but good!): Dick's Drive-In, Pagliacci's Pizza, Big Mario's Pizza, Genki Sushi, Rancho Bravo, Pike Street Fish Fry...
Fancier/gastropub: Barrio, Quinn's, 8 oz Burger, Via Tribunali, Poppy...
Bars/Beer: Stumbling Monk, Pine Box, Outer Planet, Stout, Elysian...
Dessert: Cupcake Royale, Top Pot Donuts, Old School Custard...
Game stores/Comic Shops: Raygun Lounge, Phoenix Comics & Games...
(There are so many more, but these are just some of my favorite things on the Hill!)
