Sign is a freeform game about being understood. Nicaragua in the 1970s had no form of sign language. If you were deaf, you had simple gestures with a trusted few, likely nothing more than a form of pantomime you negotiated with your family to meet basic needs. In 1977, something happened. Fifty deaf children from across the country were brought together to an experimental school in Managua. Without a shared language to express themselves, the children did the only thing they could --they created one. In Sign, we follow a small piece of their journey.

Sign is a silent larp for 4-6 people in 2 hours. It explores themes of language, deafness, and play through the hands of children. Sign was published as part of The Golden Cobra Challenge and has been played at other conventions, so this isn't a playtest. We may explore a few new character archetypes for this run, but the change would be relatively minor. For the curious, more info and some of the text is available here: http://www.thornygames.com/sign/

I'd love to run a session at Go Play if there is interest. Ideally, we will find a play space that is quiet, but as it's my first time at Go Play, I will trust those more experienced souls to guide the way!

Players:
1. Gavin
2. Julie
3. Jackson
4. Jory
5. Madi
6. Alex

If I'm doing the math right, there's still one player spot left? If so, I'm in!
