SAT-01 Improv and Games! (4/12 slots left)
Posted: June 4th, 2018, 4:36 pm
To start, we'll do some fun and easy improv exercises that practice thinking on our feet, making bold choices, dynamic characters, and strong scenes.
Then we'll play some games designed for improvisers!
First up will be Humans Being. Teams take scene suggestions from cards and then try to guess what was drawn. Fast and fun!
Next we'll be playing a beta copy of No Further Questions, the game where people give absurd press conferences and the reporters ask even more absurd questions.
Beginners to improv welcome! We need a minimum of 3 people and there's no real max but I'll set it at 12 for now.
1. Corrin Elizabeth Murphy
2. Kevin Marshall
3. W Lee
4. Kelsea
5. Paul K
6. Tomer Gurantz
7. Manu
8. Julie Southworth
9.
10.
11.
12.
NOTE: Improv often involves a lot of movement and standing on your feet for a long time. It's advised to bring comfortable shoes and a bottle of water, but we can also adjust any exercise to suit individual needs.
I'll also have some awesome promos for Improv for Gamers, a workbook of improv exercises tailored specifically to tabletop roleplayers, GMs, and larpers. The book will be out later this year; join the mailing list and we'll let you know when it's available! tinyurl.com/IfGmailinglist.
