SAT-03 The Alchemists LARP [FULL except onsite]

Post by Brendan » June 5th, 2019, 8:07 am

The duchy of Gifhorn desires a court alchemist, and likely candidates have been drawn like flies to honey. Everyone has an angle, and only one will get the job, but the best candidate... might not be the best alchemist.
The Alchemists is a lighthearted, competitive party LARP by Jason Morningstar, currently in playtesting, with a tone that is humorous but not farcical. Players will take the role of candidates scheming, gambling, and vying to explain and demonstrate the most convincing extemporaneous nonsense in their bids for the post. We can run this with anywhere from 6-12 players. The game should be about 2.5 hours long, including an intro and debrief.

1. Jory
2. Christian
3. Madi
4. Jessie
5. Lucian
6. Tim
7. W Lee
8. Jackson
9. Miles
10. Julie
11. (RESERVED for onsite signup)
12. (RESERVED for onsite signup)

While this game does not deal in any particularly dark themes and does have safety mechanisms, it is competitive, and players sensitive to the implications of pseudoscience--for example, homeopathy or phrenology--may wish to take care.

I am so very very in! Like Lucian said, it's tradition. I must be in these LARPS. It's like an identity thing.

I meant to add that I have fibromyalgia and often have to sit down, especially at the end of the day. Will this be feasible?

For clarity on that: do you intend to have those slots be available at the game sign-up table, or will you be pitching this at the donut? I just want to be sure when we print the game schedule sheets that we have that indicated correctly.
