SAT-03 The Fantasy Trip [4/5]

The Fantasy Trip is designer Steve Jackson's original fantasy RPG, recently brought back to life via a massive Kickstarter. As a result, I've got a giant box full of cool bits, and a desire to use them. The Fantasy Trip is to GURPS what Red Box D&D is to Pathfinder: an older, simpler, more freewheeling cousin. TFT's outstanding feature is its lightweight yet tactically rich system for combat and spellcasting.
Rather than run this as a classic GM+players session, I'll bring several of Dark City Game's programmed adventure modules. We'll select one, all make or select characters (I'll have lots of pregens available) and play through the adventure together. When adversaries appear, one of us will step aside and play the opposition for that encounter, rotating the the duty among those playing. That'll give everyone a chance to explore the system from multiple perspectives. And should a hero happen to fall before the quest is done, I'm sure their cousin with a slightly different name will be along shortly to round out the ranks.
