Sun-02 Player's Choice - Blue Planet (new 3rd ed.) or Upwind (0/6 players)

Biohazard's other events filled up already, so I want to offer an additional game in the 02 slot on Sunday. I thought I'd let player interest determine which one however, so post your preference below - Blue Planet or Upwind.

Upwind

Imagine Bakshi’s classic animated film Wizards has a head-on collision with Disney’s Treasure Planet and the resulting fire was put out with a whole lot of Studio Ghibli’s Castle in the Sky. That, in an unexpected, animated mash-up is Upwind. https://www.biohazardgamespublishing.com/upwind

Explorer Knights patrol uncharted skies among the countless floating skylands of the Kingdoms in the Light. Their unique training has honed them into the greatest scholars, engineers and warriors in the Realms. Ancient technology, wondrous creatures, dangerous foes and the remnants of the DownFall are salvaged, challenged and explored by the Guild. The relics of a lost science and the hope they hold for the future lie waiting in the ruins of the Twilight Frontier.

The drifting kingdoms of the Kin are proud, contentious nations, diverse in history, tradition and belief. The dangerous routes between are plied by daring merchantmen and patrolled by Guild warships against pirates, sky dragons and the Children of the Dark. This ancient, enigmatic enemy again raids upwind of the Frontier and threatens all the Kin have rebuilt. Broadsides roar, Arc cannons spit lightning, Knights turn the very elements against their enemies and the Explorer Guild’s defiant fleet is all that stands between the Dark and the Light.

Upwind is a narrative RPG powered by the Q system, a stakes-based, playing card-driven mechanic that gives every encounter consequences with meaningful, story-building outcomes. With its simple bidding rules, Upwind plays as fast as you can tell your story.

Scenario: Into the Dark

The dispatch detailing the discovery of the new Masters’ cache arrived on the latest courier, and your orders followed shortly thereafter. Recall your crew, prep your ship and depart with all due haste for the excavation site - a place the dispatch called “Broken Mound.” Orders come fast when you're on watch in the salvage fleet, but this is ridiculous. What's even more ridiculous is that fact that she's come aboard, and her orders say she is going with you! Well, this has suddenly gone from bad to worse, and you haven't even set sail yet...

Blue Planet

After 20 years the award winning Blue Planet RPG (https://www.biohazardgamespublishing.com/blueplanet) is finally getting an all-new, 3rd edition. Sign up to be one of the first to journey back to the acclaimed setting - the colonial water world of Poseidon. Take the all-new, evolved Synergy system for a test- "dive," and learn what two decades of real-world technological development, game design evolution and busy imaginations have done to make this great, hard sci-fi game even better.

Scenario:

Trouble in Paradise
The heist was supposed to end with you on a white sandy beach on New Corazon, with a big damn drink in one hand and a distinct lack of cares in the other. So how the hell did you end up hiding out in this backwater hole, clutching a big damn gun and a bloody briefcase instead? Poor. Life. Choices.

Players:
1. Derek P. - either, prefers Blue Planet
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.

(Whichever demo is chosen, it will be run by the game's creator, Jeff Barber of Biohazard Games.)

Hi Derek. Great! I put you on the list with a vote for either with a preference for BP. Let's see what other folks want before deciding which to play.
