I really want to say that even though you may have heard some things about this adventure being horrible and deadly and awful you should really just ignore what you've heard and come prepared for a normal every day dungeon crawl. But if I said that I'd be lying.
Death Frost Doom is a notoriously dangerous and deadly old-school style dungeon adventure. I've always wanted to run it. I can run this using James Raggi's Lamentations of the Flame Princess, but I'm open to using any old-school friendly rule set if there's call for it.
5 players is probably the optimal maximum, but I'll run for any number.

As far as rules sets go, I like the sheer perversity of running it with High Quality Roleplay. I know nothing about the module other than its reputation, but the idea of being ordinary villagers run through the meatgrinder has a horrible, horrible appeal to me. I could be down for that. I was going to try to avoid playing dungeon crawl-type stories while at GoPlay, but I think this could be a happy exception.

This works really well with HQRP, it turns out. There's just one area where you have to take a little care, since combat in HQRP can be instantaly fatal. You want to make sure it counts. But that' smore a GM-ing advice thing, than any problem with the adventure.

Is there a link to info on HQRP? It's an unsurprisingly difficult name to find via Google if one hasn't heard of it before.

If you're going to run this with HQRPG I really want to play, but count me in regardless of system.
(Now I'm glad I never read the module!)

OK, I'm definitely running it using HQRP, since it's about time i decided, and people seem enthused about the system.
