FRI-02 The King is Dead (FULL)

The latest thing from the Bakers: a succession-struggle game with swords, carefully negotiated flirting because everyone has swords, yelling, hot pursuits, intrigue and war. As a prince or princess of a noble house, struggle for your noble house while trying to uphold its exacting expectations. Kiss your enemies, betray your friends, be extremely dashing and glorious and intense and probably doomed.

Caveat: this just came out, so I haven't played it yet.

This is advertised as a shortish game; I never entirely trust those fancy-talkin' East Coast storygames folks when they say a game's quick (always hurryin', those Easterners), but if you don't want to go late on the first night, this offers an excellent chance of being done in good time.

I played a pre-view copy at Go Play last year, and haven't had a chance to play since the release. I've played a lot of Mobile Frame Zero: Firebrands, and would love more chances to play The King is Dead. I think I can stay up past my bedtime on Friday, but to be fully honest: I usually have to be at work at 5am and therefor I'm in bed by 9pm. I have Friday off, and plan on sleeping to help adjust to 'con-schedule' where people are up at a reasonable hour on the West Coast, but there is a small chance that I will chose sleep over this game.

Basically put me down as a yes, but if someone is interested in my slot I'll be the first to bow-out.

I think we should assume that you're taking the slot, but if you're fading on Friday evening, Rainbow and Jory are both able to summon me (I'm sure one of them will have enough mana points left) so I can show up to step in.
