FRI-01 Blacktop: Autoduel miniatures rpg [playtest]

Blacktop is an Autoduel RPG created as an OSR revival of Steve Jackson's Car Wars and set in post-apocalyptic Seattle. I will provide an arena map, custom matchbox-scale minis, and pre-made characters. The goal is Mad Max meets Judge Dredd with a dash of Tank Girl. It's amateur night: the night the Seattle arena opens to any driver who wants to prove that they have what it takes to be a pro autoduelist. This game is a playtest. I can accommodate 8 players.

This is a miniatures game with some modern RPG elements. You can expect some crunchy tactical positioning and strategizing mixed with dangerous stunts and vehicle mayhem with resolution mechanics inspired by Apocalypse World.

(Although a realistic simulation of a bunch of Seattle arena drivers would basically just be four cars parked facing each other, with everyone waiting for another driver to pull the trigger.)
