Turn up the dial on cozy vibes and spend your Sunday morning chilling, chatting, and hanging out while I make some pancakes. You want pancakes? Well–then you should make some along with me using the following recipe.

Easy-breezy pancakes from scratch–
Ingredients
-1 cup all-purpose flour
-1 teaspoon baking soda
-1 teaspoon baking powder
-1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
-1 teaspoon honey (or white sugar)
-1 cup milk (or milk alternative)
-1 egg, beaten
-1 teaspoon vanilla extract
-3 Tablespoons softened butter, divided

Note: If you don’t have milk, you can substitute with water, but your pancakes will turn out a little less rich.

Ideas for Toppings:
– Peanut butter and maple syrup (treat yourself to the real maple kind!)
– A fruit jam like lingonberry or blackberry jam with sour cream
– Fresh sliced strawberries and blueberries drizzled with sweetened condensed milk
– For a savory alternative, consider poached eggs and hollandaise sauce.
– Caramelized onions, swiss cheese, spinach, and sautéed mushrooms

Instructions
1. Combine dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and sugar if you are using white sugar) in a mixing bowl until they are well mixed.
2. Combine wet ingredients (milk, honey, egg, and vanilla) into a separate bowl and whisk.
3. Create a small well in the center of the dry ingredients, pour in the wet ingredients, then mix until smooth.
4. Grease a frying pan with 1 Tablespoon of butter and heat to a medium heat.
5. Just before the butter starts to brown, pour a portion of batter onto pan (approx 1/4 cup of batter per pancake).
6. Allow batter to bubble and wait until the bubbles begin to slow reduce in frequency (approx 3 mins)
7. Flip and cook until brown on the other side (approx 2 min)
